Local GP Crisis
Patients in Bedfordshire are having to wait weeks to see a GP, as the Conservative NHS crisis deepens.
New figures show there are now more than 2,700 patients for every GP in our part of Bedfordshire - one of the worst in the country for GP numbers.
Emma Holland-Lindsay and the Liberal Democrats are calling for urgent action to fix the problem.
The Lib Dem GP plan would guarantee people can see a doctor quickly. And we’d introduce a new 24/7 hotline so people could book an appointment anytime, rather than have to wait in a long queue every morning hoping to get through.
